How guests opt in to receive text messages about their stay. This page documents the consent shown during booking, for messaging compliance review.
1. Where guests opt in
On the secure checkout screen, the guest ticks a separate SMS consent box. The box is empty by default and the guest must tick it themselves. Consent is not part of the booking terms and is not implied by entering a phone number or completing a booking — a guest who leaves the box empty can still book, and we do not text them. Opt-in happens on the web checkout, not over SMS.
2. The consent shown at checkout
+1 (604) 555-0142
☐ Yes, text me about my reservation — booking updates, check-in info, and a rebooking link if my stay is cancelled. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. Optional — your booking works either way.
The checkbox above is shown unticked, exactly as the guest first sees it.
3. What we send
One-to-one, transactional messages about the guest's own reservation.
If a stay is cancelled by the platform, a courtesy notice plus a secure link to rebook the same dates directly.
No marketing lists. No promotional blasts.
Sample message:
Hi Sarah, this is your host. Your Jul 3 to Jul 6 stay at Harbour View was cancelled and I'm sorry. Your place is still open at $642, but it can get booked any time. If you'd still like it: https://app.anana.co/r/abc123 — message me in the link with any questions.
4. Opt out
Reply STOP to any message to stop. Reply HELP for help. We honor opt-outs immediately.
